The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess first debuted in the GameCube console as it is also the last to be released on the pint sized platform. Upon the existence of Nintendo WiiU, the game had its own release for the said console. However, recent rumors regarding another WiiU release of the game in HD had been circulating, and it was confirmed through the Nintendo Direct video address.
Scheduled to be released on March 4, 2016, fans have already been massively anticipating the open-world take on The Legend of Zelda WiiU when the HD port for the WiiU had been announced. Movie Pilot explains that Twilight Princess, being an underrated game, is popular since its 2006 release. Being a little darker and more violent than its predecessors, Twilight Princess, much like Ocarina of Time, presents a slightly more mature narrative, which may explain why, among all the Zelda titles, it would be the one to have an HD release. Furthermore the vast world of the Twilight Princess is more suited to the WiiU platform.
Furthermore, iDigital Times reported that Twilight Princess also has great dungeons, and probably some of the best in the series. It further discussed that the game has the best and most satisfying final battle on any Zelda title next to Ocarina of Time. The game may have its flaws in tone and gameplay alike, but its combat features are great, dungeons are impressive, and features an authentic Zelda story. The site also believes that Nintendo might have just bringing the vindication the game truly deserves.
Meanwhile, Amazon UK is already accepting pre-orders for Twilight Princess HD. Nintendo Insider reports that those interested in the game may secure themselves of copies through pre-order for the price of 47.52 Euros, inclusive of a WiiU exclusive remaster copy, a Wolf Link amiibo, and an official soundtrack CD. The virtually remastered port is also said to support Wii Remote and Wii Nunchuk controls.
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD WiiU exclusive release is scheduled on March 4, 2016. The game will also be compatible with the Legend of Zelda amiibo characters which are already available. Pre-orders are now available at Amazon UK.
