'Gotham' Season 2 Spoilers: Creator Bruno Heller talks Mr. Freeze’s agenda; Lori Petty, Michael Bowen Guest Starring

In an interview, Gotham creator Bruno Heller talked about Mr. Freeze’s agenda who made his first appearance on the show’s fall finale. Meanwhile, OITNB actress Lori Petty and Breaking Bad alum Michael Bowen have boarded the Batman prequel’s season 2 cast.

Speaking with TV Line, creator and showrunner Bruno Heller previewed Mr. Freeze’s agenda on Gotham’s second half.

“We’re telling the Freeze story in classic style, from its origins. What you saw there is the “beta test.” It’s very early on in the story of Mr. Freeze,” Heller teased.

Meanwhile, the FOX drama has added Lori Petty and Michael Bowen to play new characters later this season.

Petty has been cast as Jeri, a hostess of an underground club. Described as a flamboyant and enigmatic character, viewers will find Jeri giving clues to Bruce Wayne during his hunt for his parents’ murderer. Variety first reported the casting news.

The actress, who’s also known for her role in the 1995 film Tank Girl, will make her Gotham debut in episode 14 this season.

In addition, Michael Bowen has also joined the cast of the Ben McKenzie starred-series – Comic Book has learned. The Breaking Bad alum will play the character of Patrick aka “Matches” Malone. Like Petty, he’ll also make his debut in episode 14.

According to the report, Malone is known in the DC Comics lore as a small-time crook who commits crime in order to survive.

"One of Gotham's deadliest killers, Matches Malone is a weathered, philosophical hitman who may be the triggerman behind one of the most important crimes in Gotham's history," the site shared.

Gotham airs Monday nights at 8pm on Fox. Following November 30th episode, Season 2 returns with new episodes on Monday, Feb. 29th.
