'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers: Jon Snow Returning at Melisandre’s Expense; Three-Eyed Raven Appears; Brandon Stark Is Back

By

The sixth installment of much-awaited TV series Game of Thrones has revealed shocking surprises to fans all over the world. The rumor of Jon Snow coming back to life has been confirmed yet speculations arise on how he was resurrected. Is the red priestess Melisandre involved? Meanwhile, Brandon Stark returns and the Three-Eyed Raven appears.

Jon Snow, played by Kit Harrington, was killed in the final episode in season 5 but apparently, he is still part of the GoT cast in season 6. The confirmation of Snow's appearance was confirmed in the poster recently released, where it shows Snow's bloody face.

The recent release of the show's first trailer also confirmed that Snow is indeed alive. In a post from The Wrap, the first promo for the new season featured flashbacks to plenty of the show's most iconic moments, including Ned Stark's death, the Red Wedding, Daenerys and her dragons, and Bran warging out.

Max Von Sydow, who's joining the cast as the new Three-Eyed Raven, is heard saying "We watch, we listen and we remember. The past is already written and the ink is dry." at the start of the teaser, while the voice of Brandon Stark, played by Isaac Hempstead-Wright, ended the trailer saying "They have no idea what is going to happen". According to Fashion & Style, if the popular fan theory LRJ (Lyanna Stark + Rhaegar Targaryen = Jon Snow) is confirmed, then perhaps Bran will reach out to Jon once the young warrior has been brought back to life and tell him the truth about his parentage.

Another speculation is that Melisandre, played by Carice van Houten, might be the only person to bring Snow back to life. Van Houten has posted a couple of new pictures and a short video on her Twitter account, as posted in Winter Is Coming. The Lord of Light can revive the dead and it is not far for Melisandre to do what Beric Dondarrion did to Catelyn Stark in the books. Still, these are just speculations and fans would have to wait for more updates.

The highly-anticipated Game of Thrones Season 6 will premiere on April 2016 on HBO.
