Elite Dangerous: Horizons is officially receiving its share of a beta as early as now-even without a fixed release date for the time being. Much of what the gamers are to expect have been divulged online, setting another level of hype to the series.
According to PC Gamer, Elite Dangerous: Horizons is the first major expansion for the main title that summons planetary landings and exploration to the franchise. As recent news about the title has come out-especially as the beta for the game has been confirmed, fans of the title are in for a treat as Frontier Developments sets things up for the ultimate benefit.
Delivered by Engadget, players are to brace themselves for Elite Dangerous: Horizons' features that allow exploration around the surfaces of the planets appointed for the game through the use of the all-new Scarab SRV vehicle. To properly note, the said planets are almost perfect depictions of the ones seen in the Milky Way, with a ratio of 1:1 scale.
Noted by VG247, the game's surface missions are comprised of raiding some bases, doing rounds all over crash sites to scout for supplies and most excitingly, combat encounters. All the aforementioned traits can be done in solo as well as co-op, with a rather flawless transitions from the surface to the atmosphere without the hassle of loading screens in between.
Elite Dangerous: Horizons' beta can be pre-ordered through the special edition, handsomely priced at £49.99 or $74.99; which is also rated at €67.99. Gamers can also pre-order the expansion separately for £39.99, $59.99 or €49.99.
