Samsung Galaxy A7 to Receive Android 6.0 Marhsmallow in 2016; OTA Rollout the Biggest in Android History

The Samsung Galaxy A7 which is expected to obtain the Android 6.0 Marshmallow in 2016 is still waiting for the approval of the software update. This over-the-air roll out of Android M is believed to be the biggest in the Android history.

Realty Today said on its article that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade will be rolled out to the Galaxy A7 devices with a model number of SM-A7100 by the first or second quarter of 2016. The earliest update reported is by December while the others are set sometime next year.

There are talks that this update will be the biggest in Android history and will start the roll out once the smartphone and the Marshmallow OS have been carefully checked to be performing in excellent condition.

As noted previously, Samsung Galaxy A7 is a mid-range Android phone that was originally released in February 2015. It features a 5.5-inch Corning Gorilla Glass 4 Super AMOLED screen, 2,600 mAh non-removable battery, 2 GB of RAM, and a superb 13-MP rear-facing camera.

Yibada reports that the OS update will be bringing in new features and improvements. The enhancements include a Type C support for USB, app menu, app search bar, and app standby. Coming with these features are additional features like Now On Tap, Doze and app permissions which are more instinctive.

Aside from Samsung Galaxy A7, International Business Times cited the other handsets that are scheduled to obtain the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. The list include Samsung Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A8, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy E5, Galaxy E7, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Tab S2.

The tip that Samsung Galaxy A7 will receive Google's new OS circulated after a British website mentioned it on a report which also revealed a supposed leaked road map for several Samsung devices. Now that Android 6.0 Marshmallow will arrive to Samsung Galaxy A7, owners of the said unit who have been waiting since the announcement of the OS can now be at ease.
