A new storyline and new set of characters has been announced for the newly developed Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom by Level-5. Announced by Bandai Namco during the PlayStation Experience, the game was set to hit the PS4 consoles.

It was revealed by VG 24/7 that the game was announced in the event through a trailer during the PlayStation Experience keynote. The trailer, which had a length of more than two and a half minutes, revealed some details regarding the new storyline, cast of characters, and the environment which the game has to offer. It was also announced that another trailer featuring a director's cut version and more than a minute of new footage will be unveiled later.

Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom is a sequel to Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch which was released in 2013. The first game was well received by the gaming community while the fans who fell in love with the game have been requesting for a sequel. Realty Today reports that Level-5 coordinated with Studio Ghibli animators for an innovative gameplay design for a more challenging and enjoyable gameplay. Characters were designed by Yoshiyuki Momose, music by Joe Hiashi, while Akihiro Hino works as the Story and General Director.

Based on the game's initial trailer, King Evan Pettywhisker was kicked out of his kingdom by usurpers but was forced to reclaim his kingdom. He was aided by Roland from another world. As Games Radar reports, it has been a staple theme in the Ni No Kuni titles to feature a story about a visitor travelling in to a fantasy world. The game has already impressed several gamers in its handheld and mobile games, but what was welcomed most was the Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch in 2013.

Bandai Namco is proud to announce the fantasy game sequel, Ni No Kuni: Revenant Kingdom by Level-5, in cooperation with Studio Ghibli. While no official release date has been announced, the game was officially confirmed to be played in PS4 platforms.
