Vigilantes are on board this season in Daredevil. The Punisher, real name Frank Castle, is set to appear in season 2 along with Elektra Natchios and Blake Tower. Fans are excited for the second installment to air except for Frank Miller, who created the character Elektra. Meanwhile, fans get to have a sneak peek of the show's first trailer through Tumblr user Cherryvane.
Marvel recently unveiled a new trailer for the show behind closed doors. Fortunately for many fans, Tumblr user Cherryvane was there to see the trailer first hand. She later posted the description of the video on her social media account and shares it to fellow Daredevil fans.
According to her post, as cited by IGN, the trailer opens with Daredevil in what appears to be a refrigerated room with large pieces of meat hanging from the ceiling. After discovering people are also hanging, he questions a survivor, saying, "Why did they do this to you?" The man replies, "They? It was just a guy."
Next comes a rooftop scene where Matt Murdock spots a man wielding a sniper rifle. The man turned out to be none other than Frank Castle. They soon engaged in a fight. The scene however was cut with the show's logo and the words 2016-Netflix.
With the rooftop scene, according to Christian Post, fans can expect that the two vigilantes will spend the season going head-to-head. However, it was revealed that the Punisher, played by Jon Berthal, will not be the main villain but instead the two merely have a different approach when handling the crimes around Hell's Kitchen.
Meanwhile, Frank Miller revealed that he is not happy with Netflix's adaptation of Elektra. According to Crossmap, Elektra-creator Miller said "they can call it whatever you want, but it will not be the real Elektra." He also admitted that he has not watched the first season of Daredevil.
It has already been previously announced that Elodie Yung would be joining as Matt Murdoch's former lover Elektra Natchios. Other than being described as Matt's former lover, it is still not known how much of Elektra's long and convoluted history will be shown in Daredevil season 2.
Daredevil Season 2 will premiere on Netflix next year.
