Celebrity ex-couple, Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams, divorced back in January and their feud continues to date. Just recently, Moore filed a petition to her ex-husband demanding spousal support to take care of her needs including their eight pets.
As reported by People, the famous "A Walk to Remember" actress asks for spousal support to provide for her needy dogs and cats that she used to raise with Adams before. But since they broke up, she reminds him to take responsibility of their adopted pets.
"I feel as if I have no alternative," Moore stated as per court documents reveal. "Although I love our pets, it is overwhelming for me to take care of eight of them all of the time," Moore added as cited by the publication.
The court documents reveal that she is asking around $37,000 monthly from her ex-husband. The actress claimed that taking care of their pets had become so hectic that it even affected her work appointments. Her court file stated that when Moore's housekeeper was ill, she had to stay home to care for the house and their pets thus compromising her job.
Furthermore, E! News revealed that aside from the monthly spousal support, Moore is also asking for $150,000 in separate fees, $100,000 of which is for the attorney fees and costs and $50,000 to her accountant. The actress also asked that her ex-husband take four of their pets with him, as he once promised to take two of them but never did.
Aside from these monetary requests, the court documents reveal that Moore's monthly income isn't enough to cover all her expenses. Despite the actress's acknowledged success in Hollywood, her monthly income is only a quarter of the $151,300 a month of Adams. Apparently, Moore's personal living expenses, added with the few thousand bucks dedicated for pet care needs, she asks for Adams to be responsible in unloading some of her financial commitments they used to share.
The divorce case between the two still remains unresolved. Both celebrities have also yet to comment on the issue.
