Moto X Style officially begins receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade as an international version of the device has been confirmed. The upgrade came to some models in the European region over the air (OTA).
Motorola is finally seeding the official OTA Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade through Moto X Style. The update is 650 MB in size. Device will be notified only when connected to a Wi-Fi. Users have to take note that the upgrade will come in stages depending on location or region and carrier.
To manually check the update, head over to Settings > About device > Software upgrade > Check for updates. Follow on screen instructions. Make sure the device is charged up to at least 50 percent to prevent interruption.
Among Motorola's phones, Android 6.0 Marshmallow first came to Moto X Pure Edition in Brazil and India and Moto X Force in Brazil through a soak test, the final testing phase wherein device is evaluated according to its performance when upgraded with the new build.
The upgrade is expected to hit devices in the United States any time soon, as reported by Tech Times.
Meanwhile, Marshmallow is slated to improve the already impressive device. Moto X Style has a 5.7-inch display powered by a 1440 Quad HD display. Its front panels sport two stereo speakers. The device also rocks a 3 GB of RAM, 16 GB internal storage expandable to 32 GB, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
Moto X Style's 21 MP main camera boasts features like phase detect auto-focus, tap anywhere to capture, closed loop processing, quick capture, night mode, digital zoom, panorama, auto HDR, drag to focus and exposure, color correlated temperature flash with dual LEDs, 1080p HD video, video HDR, video stabilization, 4K video, and slow motion video.
The front or selfie camera has a 5 MP lens able to capture beautifully low light subjects. It also has a flash, night mode, and slow motion video.
