Fan viewers of the legendary film, King Kong, are excited for the upcoming new sequel entitled, Kong: Skull Island, that will be release in 2017 with Tom Hiddleston as the main character.
After Hiddleston's film, "Crimson Peak," got a big hit this year, he will now play the lead role of the well-known movie. It is reported that he is excited for his character and the movie, and gave assurance to the fans that it will be different from the past sequel.
According to Variety, Tom Hiddleston gave some details about the upcoming movie. Aside from expecting another Kaiju in suffering in the city, the actor made sure of the changes that will be made is dissimilar from the other series. "It's not set in the '30s," confirmed Tom Hiddleston.
The film Kong: Skull Island started filming early in October, under the direction of Jordan Vogt-Roberts, who is known for his work in the 2013 film, "The Kings of Summer." Hiddleston joined the cast together with Brie Larson, Corey Hawkins, and Jason Mitchell
Meanwhile, there is still no assurance about the character Tom Hiddleston will be playing in "Kong: Skull Island." The actor shared some information about his character while talking to Collider, Tom Hiddleston said,
"I've been digging around in some dark material, to be honest. There's something very heroic about my character in Skull Island. He's an adventurer, he's an explorer. I mean, it's a King Kong film. There we go," he added.
"The way Jordan Vogt-Roberts has conceived of it, there's something in there which I find very compelling about King Kong as an emblem of the power of nature in some way, and man's relationship to it. I think he's got just brilliant ideas about exploring that. Incredible sequences, a particular context they put King Kong in that you've never see him in before, so I'm really excited."
The King Kong movie turned out to be a legendary film with its first appearance in the year 1933. A giant monster characterized by a Gorilla has become one of the world's most famous movie icons that makes inspired to have a countless sequels, remakes, comics or even parodies.
