'John Wick 2' Cast Update: Laurence Fishburne caught filming with Keanu Reeves; Cameo or new character to watch out for?

Keanu Reeves who won a Blockbuster Award for his performance as Neo in a successful movie The Matrix, is caught filming with his former co-actor Laurence Fishburne. The set is said to be the sequel of John Wick - John Wick 2.

New York blog Gothamist as well as some people from the city caught Reeves and Fishburne filming together on a rooftop in Brooklyn. Keanu Reeves as John Wick looked pretty messed up and it seems like he was beaten pretty badly. There's blood stain on his shirt, and one can infer that John Wick got a little rusty again. Perhaps John Wick needs to have another Marcus (William Dafoe) on his side again.

With the vast and complex world of assassins in John Wick, it is just right for the filmmakers to introduce a new character. Rumors say that Laurence Fishburne, a simple owner of a pigeon collection, will be playing as Keanu Reeves mentor. However, his role is still a bit perplexing for the fans, as Fishburne has never been mentioned as being part of John Wick 2. In fact, he is not yet listed on IMDB's cast page. There have been no reports as well regarding the screen time of Fishburne. Some speculates that his role might just be a cameo.

It is also a possibility that Fishburne will not be John Wicks friend but an enemy. Nevertheless, adding the character of Fishburne in John Wick 2 will give the fans a satisfying sense of nostalgia. John Wick scored a whopping $76,237,835 worldwide is expected to gain more sales with its sequel.

Full details on John Wick 2 are still on lockdown and it remains to be seen if it can top or at least be of equal quality with its predecessor. Moreover, inserting another famous star like Laurence Fishburne in John Wick 2 will surely earn more excitement from fans all over the world.
