New photos of HTC's new One X9 handset providing the device's look in every angle. Although it was previously speculated to be a high end smartphone, the new specs details suggest that it is more of a mid-range device.

The Chinese smartphone blog Anzhou recently revealed new high resolution snaps of the handset. Although official details are still under wraps, The Verge reported that it is likely to carry a 2.2GHz quad-core chip under the hood. It could also have 13MP rear camera and 5MP for its front-facing shooter.

Furthermore as reported by CNET, the HTC One X9 is also heavily speculated to sport dual front-facing speakers which were absent in the previous A9 smartphone model. It is also likely to be released with 3,000 mAh battery, along with a micro-SD slot which can support the device's internal memory up to 1TB.

Basing on its photos, the new smartphone device could be released with a metal unibody which is an existing trend among smartphones in the market today. It is rumored to be released in 2 variants with which the consumers can choose between a 16GB device which houses 2GB of RAM, or its 32GB version which has 3GB of RAM.

According to Phone Arena, the new device was certified by China's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center, TENAA, last month and was previously claimed to be HTC's next high end flagship phone.

However, with current rumors suggesting a mid-range status for the device, the company might release their next high end handset which is rumored to feature a Snapdragon 820 processor, after the release of One X9.

The HTC One X9 is speculated to be released in China early next year. However, no details have been reported about its release in Europe and America yet. More details about the device's launching and release will be reported as they come.
