The new Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 2016 have finally arrived in China fulfilling the South Korean company's promise of a December release. The release of other smartphones in Galaxy A series are also expected to follow in the coming months.
As reported by International Business Times, rollout has begun for the new smartphone devices in China. Retail stores are offering Galaxy A5 and A7 for the price of CNY 2,398 ($370) and CNY 2,699 ($420) respectively.
Regarding its specs, the Galaxy A5 has a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, with 1920x1080 pixels resolution. It measures 144.8x72.0x7.3 and is light at 155 grams. It has an octa-core SoC clocked at 1.2 GHz, and 2GB of RAM.
Meanwhile, the bigger Galaxy A7 showcases a 5.5-inch display with the same 1920x1080 pixels resolution. It is bigger than A5 and measures 151.5x74.1x7.3. Under its hood, the device has a octa-core SoC clocked at 1.6GHz and 3GB RAM.
Both devices has 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB through micro-SD support. They also feature finger print scanners and MTS technology for payments through Samsung's digital payment system.
According to GSM Arena, both devices carry 13MP rear camera wit Optical Image Stabilization Feature (OIS), LED Flash, and f/1.9 aperture lenses. They also have 5MP front facing cameras, and feature Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
The Galaxy A5 and A7 are available in four different variants of black, white, gold, and pink. After its release in China, Galaxy A5 and A3 are expected to rollout in Europe in January 8 in Netherlands. Official details about its prices are unknown, but the A5 is rumored to be sold at €429, while the smaller phone could go for a hundred lower.
The release of Galaxy A3 in China has not been listed by the company, according to Gadget 360. Moreover, the next member of the A series handsets, the A9, is also rumored to be introduced to the world soon.
The South Korean company's A5 and A7 handsets are expected to reach more buyers in the coming months as the rollout progress. More details about the Galaxy A series will be revealed as the release of the devices continue.
