Samsung is set to unveil new products in an event in January, however, it will not include the Samsung Galaxy S7 which is currently speculated to be introduced in a later date. New rumored specs about the device also suggest that it could resemble the Galaxy S6.
Samsung is expected to attend the annual CES event next year on January in Las Vegas. However as reported by GSM Arena, although invitations have been leaked for the South Korean company's conference in January 5, no handsets will be announced as the company is set to present their latest TVs and home appliances.
But instead of a January announcement, Tech Radar reported that the launching might take place during the upcoming Mobile World Congress which will happen in Barcelona on late February or in March next year.
Furthermore, official details about the features of the Samsung Galaxy S7 are currently unknown although its back and front is rumored to be glass, while the edges will be metal. As reported by Slash Gear, the nee handset could also feature a finger print scanner at the back and camera at the center.
Jermaine Smit also recently speculated on the smartphone's features suggesting that it could be released in more colors, and will look like the Samsung S6. The device is also rumored to measure 143.4x70.8x6.9mm, and could have 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 1440x2650 pixels resolution.
Samsung's handset is rumored to be released with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, and could be released with 4GB of RAM and 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of internal storage which could further be expanded through micro-SD card support.
The new device is also rumored to carry sophisticated smartphone cameras with 20MP back camera that has a 4K video recording feature as well as dual-LED flash. Its front-facing shooter could also be released in 8MP.
These rumored specs sound very promising, however, it is also worth noting that Samsung has not released official details on the features of the Samsung Galaxy S7 yet thus these information should be treated with a grain of salt for now. More details about the new handset are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
