Sony is set to release another flagship phone in 2016 with Sony Xperia Z6. However, the release will not only unveil one device as 5 different handsets are expected to be introduced which will also get rid of the "Omnibalance" design in previous models.
According to Latin Post, Sony is set to release 5 different variants of Xperia Z6. Aside from the Xperia Z6 flagship which will measure 5.6-inches, a bigger version that will measure 5.8-inches will also be available. Furthermore, the biggest will be the Xperia Z6 Ultra which will be 6.4-inches.
However, two small versions will also be available with Xperia Z6 Compact and Xperia Z6 Mini that will be 4.6-inches and 4-inches, respectively. Aside from wider handset options, Sony is also reportedly getting rid of the "Omnibalance" design that they featured in the previous handsets.
According to Tech Radar, the new gadget will be have a different design which metal will play a huge role. Moreover, the Xperia Z6 is heavily speculated to be released in June 2016 while another batch which is rumored to be Xperia Z7 are also rumored to be released in October.
If the recent speculations are true, then consumers shouldn't expect releases or launching during the CES or MWC in January and February next year. As for the details on the specs of the Xperia Z6 gadgets, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 is heavily linked to be featured in 4 of the gadgets while the Xperia Z6 is rumored to receive the Snapdragon 620.
However, as reported by Know Your Mobile, other claims suggest that only the flagship phone will receive the latest processor since the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 would be released in all the handsets that will be released in October.
Several rumors and speculations are currently surrounding the Sony Xperia Z6 but the company has not officially released the full details of the gadget/s, thus these details must be treated with a grain of salt. More details on the upcoming handset will be reported as they come.
