Android 4.4.3 update has started rolling out for a range of devices including Motorola handsets. T-Mobile started the roll out the much talked about update from Google. Motorola has followed making the update available to more devices. Devices ready for the update include Moto X, Moto G and Moto E. Similar to other networks and tech manufacturers, the roll out happens in stages meaning some users may receive it sooner or later compared to other users.
Motorola's website indicated the company's goal of delivering better user experience through good hardware and updated software. The Android 4.4.3 update is available to the following users:
-T-Mobile Moto X subscribers
-Moto E subscribers who bought the device in the US over the internet
-Moto G and Moto G 4 LTE subscribers who bought the device in the US and Brazil over the internet
The update offers the following benefits: new interface, improved dialer, new colors, consistent and improved interface functions. The Android 4.4.3 KitKat Motorola update also ensures stability, framework security fixes including improved power profile capabilities.
For Moto X, the update specifically provides better photo quality. Improvements include: better exposure consistency, more accurate flash coloring and better low light shooting functions. People can now shoot under low light conditions without worrying too much about the quality of the photo. As for the viewfinder in Moto G and Moto X, Motorola included a pause/shortcut button. People can now control their recordings more conveniently. Moto X and Moto G KitKat update also features Motorola Alert. People can send periodic messages to contacts they choose. People can update manually if they have not received notification about the firmware. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Click About Phone.
3. Open Systems Updates > Download.
4. Wait until the download finishes before installing.
The device will reboot after. It should be running with the update upon restart.
