"Glee" star Becca Tobin's boyfriend, Matt Bendik was found dead in a hotel room in Philadelphia. The actress' manager Ricky Rollins from Schumacher Management confirmed the news.
According to the police, 31-year-old Bendik was found lifeless in Hotel Monaco Thursday, July 10, after the housekeeping staff of the hotel found the guest unresponsive. The Associated Press reported that the medical examiners conducted an autopsy Friday; however they failed to determine the cause and manner of death. Further examinations of the body are set to verify the details.
TMZ reported the couple were on a business trip when the incident happened. They were together with some friends Wednesday and returned to the hotel that night. It was unclear where Tobin was when the dead body was found. Authorities said there was no sign of foul play nor any drug or medication found at the scene.
The cause of death was not yet confirmed, but Bendik's family is considering the possibility that the Matt died from a heart attack due to stress. It was reported that the nightclub owner is currently working to expand his business. Bendik owned several nightclubs across the country, according to USA Magazine. These include West Hollywood's DBA nightclub in Los Angeles.
The club's notice board posted a message that read, "We love you Matt," as farewell tribute to Bendik.

Weeks before, Tobin posted on her Instagram a black-and-white snapshot kissing "#Bendik" on the cheek.

Tobin was deeply devastated by the demise of his boyfriend. It is said that the actress had plans to marry Bendick. Tobin, 28, plays the role of Kitty Wilde on Fox's hit TV series Glee.
It can be recalled that this is not the first time a tragic event has befell the series' cast. Actor Cory Monteith who played the role Finn Hudson was found dead in a Vancouver hotel last year due to alcohol and drug overdose. The actor was dating Lea Michelle who portrays Rachel Berry.
