It can be tough being a fan of "Super Smash Bros." But it's slightly easier with the help of Masahiro Sakurai, the iconic game designer who created both the Kirby character and the "Super Smash Bros." franchise.
On the official Miiverse site, Sakurai uploads a new screenshot from "Super Smash Bros." every day. And yesterday, the screenshot revealed a new piece of information from the upcoming game.
The image, seen above, shows two new costumes that will appear the Wii U version of "Super Smash Bros." Mario can be seen wearing a traditional American Flag color scheme, while the Samus is clad in a stylish black and white costume.
Sakurai also provided some information on where the stars and stripes came from:
"The character farther in the back isn't from the Imperial forces, and the character in the front is not the infamous drum-playing puppet in Osaka. No, Mario is actually wearing an outfit from Family Computer Golf: U.S. Course! NES Open Tournament Golf might be a more familiar title."
Today, "Smash" fans were treated to a double feature on Miiverse. First came the daily photo, which showed off Pac-Man's taunt (a flourish characters can perform, as a way of poking fun of their opponents). The taunt, called "Namco Roulette," will cause Pac-Man to summon a small, randomized Namco character into his hand.
