Motorola may launch Moto X+1 aka Moto X2, a new flagship product in the Moto series, sometime late in this summer or fall by August-September 2014.
The company may release a phablet device which runs Android L, Google's latest mobile operating system. The smartphone is slightly larger than the Nexus 5, reports kpopstars.com.
According to TK Tech report, an employee from Motorola has leaked the picture as well as specifications of the supposed Moto X+1 and the source confirmed that the model takes a lot of design cues from the Droid Ultra line. The handset also shares several features of Moto X such as rounded corners, a return of the rounded back and dimple.
Super Amoled display screen technology, 2GB RAM, Micro SD card expansion as well as storage of 16, 32 and 64 GB is speculated to be used in Moto X+1, reports TK Tech.
The device will also have enhanced notification system that would defy the phablet's locked screen when trying to gain access and the same notification will be displayed across the top part of the screen, reports Tech Times.
The phablet will be launched in the market by late August or early September depending on the camera used in the final production device, said the source to TK Tech.
Motorola released its Droid smartphones (Droid Ultra, Droid Mini, and Droid Maxx for Verizon) in last July and a flagship device Moto X last August. The company is expected to follow a similar schedule this year with Moto X+1, states kpopstars.com.
There were several rumours that Moto X+1 which is also known as Moto X2 will be released in the market this may. The phablet is said to be second generation of Moto X handset.
