The British-American horror series Penny Dreadful will be back on Showtime with its next series by 2015 with new thrilling plots.
As per Penny Dreadful Web report, the soundtrack for Penny Dreadful Season 2 will be released on August 14, 2014. The report also states that Pearl harbour star Josh Harnett will be in Dublin to begin filming on the upcoming season of Penny Dreadful.
During the Television Critics Associations (TCA) Winter Pres Tour 2014, Showtime President David Nevins said, "It's a really big cosmology, and it is gonna get bigger next year," reports Dread Central.
He also revealed that Helen McCrory, who appeared renowned spiritualist in season 1 of the series, will be playing the role of Madame Kali in the second season.
"There's a great antagonist next year played by Helen McCrory. Season 1's antagonist was sort of an inhuman character. It will be good to have a more human antagonist," he said.
According to The Wrap, Nevins revealed that Dexter Morgan may return to the show in Penny Dreadful Season 2.
"There's a chance of bringing back Dexter Morgan, the serial killer at the center of "Dexter," said Nevins. He also said that David Duchovny wanted to die in Penny Dreadful Season 1. "He always thought Hank should go out in a blaze of glory," he added.
In an exclusive interview last month, Penny Dreadful's creator John Logan said, "I look for ways to challenge them as both characters and actors and I look for ways to satisfy them as both characters and actors."
Penny Dreadful Season 1 drew 4.8 million weekly viewers across multiple platforms and it is currently the networks most-watched new show through its Showtime on Demand and Showtime Anytime avenues.
