Fans will be treated to a more destructive story in Thor 3 as Chris Hemsworth speaks of the storyline heading to the Armageddon. With a new female enchantress thrown in the mix, Odin's fate yet unknown, and Loki possibly dying, Thor 3 is looking exciting.
Hemsworth, who will be reprising his role as Thor in the next Avengers movie entitled "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is also in the works for a third Thor movie. Not much is known about the plot yet, but in an interview with ScreenRant, Hemsworth said that the third installation could have a more destructive approach. In his own words, Enstarz reported Hemsworth saying that the "Armageddon aspect is probably the direction in which it will all head in." The actor spoke of "the end of all things" as it happened in the comics.
Executive producer Craig Kyle also spoke of a similar concept in reference to the Tree of Yggdrasil, saying that "Should the end of all things ever come this would probably be the first thing to fall." Could the exec and the actor's similar lines of thinking be a hint?
As for how everything will end, KDramaStars thinks that a war will be brewing between Midgard and Asgard that would leave Thor confused on which side to choose.
Those who have seen Thor: The Dark World would remember Thor leaving Asgard with Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman, and Loki sitting on the throne. Fans wondered where Odin was. According to KDramaStars, the scene implied that Loki killed him. Kevin Feige, Marvel Studio President, spoke an enigmatic reply regarding Odin's fate. "I would not say that it's say to say, no. I don't know what Loki did to him."
On a lighter note, Thor 3 could possibly involve a new female character in the role of Amora the Enchantress, a possible love triangle to the Thor-Jane romance. According to Darren Franich from ET Weekly, Amora is a seductive sorceress who enslaves people with a single kiss. She also happens to be his nemesis, sort of like "Thor's Catwoman," Franich said as reported by Breathe Cast.
Also according to Breathe Cast, Thor 3 might be the last installation in the series, following up with an explanation that going into the "Ragnarok" storyline ensures Loki's death and the destruction of Thor's hammer. The website also says that Thor will also die.
Thor 3 will be coming to theaters in 2016 or 2017. Meanwhile, speculations abound that Avengers: Age of Ultron will be showing a direct link to Thor 3. Kyle will be writing the screenplay alongside "Thor: The Dark World" writer Christopher Yost.
