"Orange is the New Black" has been completely eminent in restoring few marks of values of equality - for the lives of prisoners, LGBT rights, and loving choices. With this, "OITNB" shall continue, expectedly, to obtain more fans especially that the first two seasons made a huge mark (a mark first seen on other TV series such as Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and Supernatural) and an upcoming season awaits.
A statement, emphasizing on equality, of Laura Prepon on TV Guide reads: "I think one of thing that's so great about this show is that all the characters (esp. the love triangle between Laura, Piper, and Larry) are flawed. Nobody's perfect. And there's something for everyone to relate to."
Sustaining the phenomenal reputation of the show, meanwhile, Season 3 brings complex story arc - chiefly on Alex and Piper's romance. Alex Vause (played by Laura Prepon), who appeared only four times on Season 2, comes back on Season 3 as series' regular to elucidate the conflict created by betrayal.
Prepon tells the site, "I think a lot of her (Vause) actions are justified and in Season 2. She did think that Piper was going to tell the truth. Just saying." After a beat, she justifies that Piper's conflict with Alex is easier to find its end, rather than Larry - Piper's fiancé - forgiving Piper committing infidelity when she entered jail.
Defending Larry's side, Jason Biggs says on TV Guide, "He's trying to make the best of a really horrible situation." He believes Larry Bloom deserves Piper's (played by Taylor Schilling) same old love. But with the fans' expecting a lot from the Piper-Alex love story, it's not likely to happen. He adds, "Everyone sympathizes with Piper, as they should ... But Larry hasn't done anything wrong, right?"
With the defense of both Piper's love interest, can we see more conflicts this upcoming season on the highly anticipated love triangle? And are you Team Alex or Team Larry?
"Orange Is The New Black" Season 1 and 2 can be viewed on Netflix Network; meanwhile, it's safe to say that Season 3 premieres this Summer 2015.
