The much-awaited sequel to "Red Dead Redemption" has been confirmed by an insider to be released at least in the fall of next year.
Aside from Rockstar Games' best-selling game "Grand Theft Auto," the Western action-adventure video game "Red Dead Redemption" achieved similar success in 2010, according to The Christian Post. Now, with its sequel titled "Red Dead Redemption 2" confirmed by a Rockstar Games developer, fanatics are more than thrilled on the video game installment's impending release, which is said to be on November 2015 for XBox One and Playstation 4. Gamers predicted that the timeline is perfect, considering it is within the E3 conference season.
Citing the lead mentioned in a report by The Motoring Crunch, KdramaStars noted that a senior engineer named Feinstein revealed on his social media account that he is working on a sequel to a famous IP from Rockstar. Feinstein is known in the video game industry as one part of the team that brought the "Max Payne" series.
If one would be basing the news on the reveal, only three titles are in contention for getting a sequel, KdramaStars postulated. Aside from "Red Dead Redemption," the other two titles were "Bully" and "Manhunt." Most of the analysts believe that all three games would be getting sequels because of their commercial successes. However, as "Red Dead Redemption" is arguably by far the most popular, the video game has the most chance of being the one that Feinstein and the rest of his Rockstar Games team are working on.
Although Rockstar Games has not announced its plans to release a follow-up to "Red Dead Redemption," the video games company did say back in 2012 that it wasn't completely finished with the "Red Dead" franchise. Moreover, the company did at that time expressed its hopes to release a new installation in future.
Rockstar said then, as quoted by Hallels, "We don't always rush to make sequels but that does not mean that we won't get back to them eventually. Stay tuned for further announcements about the future of the Red Dead series."
