Hit Netflix comedy-drama "Orange Is the New Black" is currently in production for its third season.
The cast and crew have been quiet about what's in store for season 3. During a night with the cast hosted by Chelsea Handler, a fan asked creator Jenji Kohan for some insight into the next season, and she answered: "Oh. No. But I'm really glad you like it."
There are, however, a number of reports revealing a number of small details enough to make fans excited. For instance, there will be new faces joining the cast. Blair Brown of Fox's hit show "Fringe" will play a still-unidentified character, and Oscar winner Mary Steenburgen will play Officer George Mendez's/Pornstache's (Pablo Schreiber) mother.
We will, however, no longer Schreiber in the upcoming season, as he will join the cast of HBO's new show "The Brink."
"Yeah, I was never a series regular on 'Orange Is The New Black.' I was always a guest star. The role that I have on 'The Brink' is a starring role, and it's a no brainer," he says. "Absolutely, I chose to jump on board with that show. It was a better move for me as an actor," Schreiber told the New York Post.
One of the characters who we'll still see in the next season is Uzo Aduba, who plays Suzanne or "Crazy Eyes." In an interview with Hitfix, she talked about the show's Emmy nominations:
"Overwhelming. And it was gratifying in every single way. I felt so proud, just proud truly of the show, proud of my fellow cast mates, proud of Jenji, our writers, the entire crew. You couldn't help but, 'luxuriate' isn't the right word but like want to embrace all of it."
"Orange Is the New Black" season 3 will air in 2015 in Netflix. The exact date has not yet been announced, but it's expected to premiere sometime in June.
