Filming for the highly anticipated "Terminator: Genysis" has wrapped up and is on its way to the post-production stage. In addition, a teaser trailer should be revealed very soon, Enstars reports.
According to previous reports, the sequel's title was announced together with the film being wrapped up in San Francisco, last July 6. The movie's star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is reprising his role as the iconic cyborg in the franchise.
It has been reported several times that a trailer will be out very soon, leaving fans excited to have a first glimpse of the highly anticipated movie.
The announcement of the movie's official title came via Schwarzenegger's Instagram post. It showed the actor with his back against the camera, while seated in his actor's chair, showing off the title of the new Terminator movie.The caption included a message thanking the director, producers, and crew.
Schwarzenegger said, "Hasta la vista, baby. I want to thank the cast and crew of @TerminatorGenisys for a fantastic shoot. It was challenging, it was fun, and it was rewarding. From our director to the producers, from the camera team to catering, from visual effects to hair and makeup - we couldn't have done it without you. I can't wait to see our finished project and I know we'll remind the fans why they fell in love with the Terminator. On July 1, 2015, I'll be back."
The film was previously called Terminator: Genesis, so there was a slight change in spelling.
The fifth Terminator movie is directed by Alan Taylor. Starring alongside Schwarzenegger are Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese, and Douglas Smith as the young John Connor.
Moreover, Sandrine Holt (House of Cards) will be playing Detective Cheung, whom according to spoilers, will be the one arresting Sarah and Kyle when they time-travel to 2017.
"Terminator: Genysis" is slated to hit the theaters on July 2015.
