Android KitKat 4.4.3 Update Statuses for Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4, LG 2 and HTC One [See Here]

Several flagship phones from major mobile phone companies are scheduled to receive the Android KitKat 4.4.3 update. Android's delayed OS updates have left flagship models like Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5, the HTC One, the LG G2 and Nexus units waiting for the 4.4.3 update while other units are already running on KitKat 4.4.4. Reports of update releases have been floating around, with sources saying the update may be available for the remaining units real soon.

According to NDTV, HTC has announced through its official Twitter account last July that the 4.4.3 update has begun rolling out for the HTC One M8 variants under Sprint and T-Mobile. The developer version is also available for the M7 for devices under the carrier Sprint, the company said. However, not all variants of the M7 will receive the 4.4.3 update; as some will get the Android L update, which would be coming out in a few months. This is good news for many HTC users, especially after the company has made headlines for abandoning updates according to Android Origin.

Samsung, LG Keep Mum; Rumored Release Peg "Several Weeks from Now"

Samsung and LG have both kept mum about when their remaining flagship units - the Galaxy S4, S5 and Note 3 for Samsung, and the LG G2 and G3 - will receive the Android 4.4.3 update. According to a report from SamMobile, a Samsung firmware tracking site, the Samsung flagship phones that are pending updates are beginning to receive the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. These phones include several Galaxy SIII and S4 models; the Galaxy Note II, 3, 8.0 and 10.1; the Galaxy Tab 3, the Galaxy Light and Galaxy Mega. Samsung did not release a statement about the 4.4.3 update, but reports say the update may be available for Samsung flagship phones in September.

Meanwhile, LG has been quiet about the availability of the 4.4.3 update for their G2 and G3 units. They are ahead of Samsung though, with their handsets already running on Android KitKat 4.4.2. It has been predicted that the update may not be available in a few weeks, with the Android L becoming available in a few months.

There are rumors spreading of units still waiting for the 4.4.3 update to have their 4.4.4 upgrades integrated in 4.4.3. This is apparently what happened with the Moto X and Moto G under some carriers. Additionally, both units have been confirmed to receive the Android L update once it is released. The Moto E, on the other hand, shares the fate of Samsung units waiting for the 4.4.3 update, with no word about it receiving the Android L update .
