There are generally many things that keep a TV series to continue running for a number of seasons. According to Carter Matt, it mainly revolves in one of three things: pleas and outbursts from fans at twitter, regular conventions put up by and for fans, and petitions to give the show another season.
Luckily for the TV favorite Longmire, it is looking like the A&E Network may need to whip out another season of the beloved program as soon as possible especially since all three fan to-do list specifications have all been put into stride since the end of Season 3.
Since the future of Longmire has since become uncertain, actor Lou Diamond Phillips took into consideration to address this issue with the fans sending out a tweet that states that fans should let the network know that they would like the show back on air for another season. Taking to Twitter, Phillips said, "Feeling pretty good about it but let them know!"
According to Enstarz Phillips' got the attention of fans who were sure enough that the show will be given another run by October and were surprised that September was the new deadline to decide if the show will be airing again
Immediate responses and tweets from the Longmire audiences were quickly sent to @AETV the day of Phillips' tweet. Actress Katee Sackhoff also made her bid to encourage the fans of the steady possibility of a renewed Season 4 for Longmire with a tweet of her own specifically saying that the new season will be her favorite yet, "Next season is going to be my favorite."
Even Longmire book series author Craig Johnson has not shown any hesitation to the probability of the show continuing on for another season, stating that there is enough material to work with to be able to continue with Longmire Season 4.
