The trend among many athletes, actors and other celebrities these days has been the infamous Ice Bucket Challenge videos. The premise is to raise awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS,) while raising funds for the cause by means of a video and nominating two other people to do the same.
According to an article by TIME, the ice bucket challenge was started by golfer, Chris Kennedy from Sarasota, Florida, who was nominated by a friend to participate in the Ice Bucket Challenge. The report added that at the time, the challenge was not connected to a specific charity, but Chris Kennedy had selected ALS because a relative was suffering from the disease. Since they started the viral video on July 15, it has continued non-stop around the world among celebrities and regular people alike.
A source from Carter Matt explains the challenge was well accepted by Longmire star, Katee Sackhoff. She did her bid by creating an emotional video with her holding out cards, mentioning her charity of choice called Project ALS and nominating Harold Parrineau (Lost) and Michelle Trachtenberg (Gossip Girl.)
Besides Katee's efforts for ALS, she also took part in Life Ride, a motorcycle event designed to fund AIDS research, Enstars reported. Katee opened an Instagram account to post photos of the event.
Meanwhile, it isn't just Katee who's been keeping herself busy. Enstars also added that Lou Diamond Phillips has been keeping a busy schedule while awaiting the renewal of Longmire Season 4 - which is suspected to come out sometime in September.
Enstars reported that Lou Diamond Phillips has been very busy at the Princess Theatre as part of the current cast of The King and I. In addition, the actor appeared in a guest spot last Monday for the children's television series, The Wiggles, which is a far cry from his role in Longmire as Henry Standing Bear.
And speaking of Henry, a lot of talk has circulated in Carter Matt relating to what will eventually happen to Henry when Season 4 comes to play: from rebuilding the Red Pony, to getting a new love interest and even going through a dark path. Of course, all of the speculation and rumors are left as that until the actual Longmire Season 4 starts its debut, hopefully in September.
