Reports claim that there is an on-going feud between Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy since their show 'Sam & Cat' was called off. While Ariana seems to be focusing in her music career, Jennette busies herself with her Web show entitled 'What's Next for Sarah?' that is believed to be a satire against the former.
According to reports, there have been numerous occasions that prove these theories about the two's squabble which all started since the show they both starred in got cancelled. First, there's the issue on payment differences that surfaced. And when Jennete did not show up at the Nickelodeon's Kid's Choice Awards, speculations on the alleged feud skyrocketed.
This time, Jennette's web series is firing up the allegations surrounding their ill-will towards each other. Despite Ariana's disavowal of the allegations, Jennette's no-comment footing seems to validate the speculations.
Then she finally broke her silence and took off some shades.
Jennette, who broke out of her child roles when she "leaked" a "naked" selfie to Instagram, asserted that her 'What's Next for Sarah?' series is a blithe response to some of the 'absurd' events of her life in the entertainment industry.
"My goal was to exaggerate some of the more classic Hollywood archetypes - the phony reporter, the insincere agent, the duplicitous casting director - and heighten them to a surreal extent that we can all laugh at. We all have those moments where we feel like the world is entirely crazy, and we're the only sane person," she also said.
In a report made by Hollywood Take , the third episode of 'What's Next For Sarah' features McCurdy's character going for a therapy after her show got dropped. As she was juicing, as suggested by her therapist, a girl in ponytail got into the store singing. She is Gloriana, whom she describes as a self-absorbed dumb pop star who loves to talk about herself. Then she started talking about her beauty appointments, her new vegan diet while ironically carries a leather bag, and then she also annoyingly talked about her music video.
According to reports, the struggling career of her character and Gloriana's escalating success can be assumed as an allusion to what's going on in the lives of the two.
International Business Times expressed doubt about this it's-just-for-fun claims of Jennette as fans get enraged by this 'obvious' dissing of Ariana. "Grow up" said the Arianators.
