Four out of five members of "One Direction" have already completed the Ice Bucket Challenge in support of ALS, with Zayn Malik as the only exception. Fans on Twitter urge the singer to participate, but still no word from Malik.
A huge number of celebrities have already done the Ice Bucket Challenge, but as of now Malik is not one of them. The challenge, which is an attempt to raise awareness and money for the disease called amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), have already reached Malik's fellow "Directioners", says Inquisitr. Also according to the article, "none of his One Direction band mates nominated him to do the Ice Bucket Challenge," which could be the reason why he hasn't posted anything about it yet.
The Inquisitr article reports that "One Direction" member Niall Horan nominated band mate Louis Tomlinson, who in turn nominated other names, including Prince Harry. Meanwhile, Harry Styles reportedly nominated Kanye West. Liam Payne, who was nominated for the challenge by Cheryl Cole, nominated girlfriend Sophia Smith and Pharrel Williams.
Though Malik's four band mates have not tagged him in the challenge, Inquisitr says that Malik may not be spared. According to Inquisitr, "Zayn Malik can only avoid the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge for so long before his One Direction band mates force him to participate by grabbing a bucket of cold water and ambushing him."
Many "One Directioners" have already expressed their interest to see him do the challenge. Fans of the singing group took to Twitter to convince Malik to join in on the cause. The Epoch Times lists one user saying, "You're the only one left to do the ice bucket challenge @zaynmalik." Another also said: "Zayn when you will make the challenge of the ice bucket???"
The Epoch Times says Malik has been absent on Twitter for days.
This is not the first time Malik has been the subject of Twitter posts this month. Earlier this August, Malik was photographed sporting a different hairstyle, which scored approvals from fans via Twitter. According to Yahoo Celebrity, the 21-year old singer was seen at Chiltern Firehouse with a "Harry Styles-esque hair do," which apparently caused "swooning, melting and hyperventilating."
Yahoo Celebrity shares Malik saying that fiancée Perrie Edwards' mother is a hairdresser and that he had been groomed by her for certain occasions. Edwards' mother was allegedly responsible for Malik's signature blonde streak, which left fans wondering if his future mother-in-law was also behind the change in hairstyle.
