ABC's daytime show, "The View," will welcome two new faces as part of the cast. Actress Rosie Perez and political commentator, Nicolle Wallace are confirmed to be joining the cast.

According to ABC News, it was confirmed last Thursday that Perez and Wallace will be part of the show's upcoming new season that is scheduled to premiere on September 15.

In a statement, ABC announced that "Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace are the new co-hosts of 'The View' joining moderator Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell."

Perez is a 49-year old actress who is known for starring in several movies such as "White Men Can't Jump," "Pineapple Express," and "Do The Right Thing."

"I am beyond thrilled, honored and completely surprised that I've been asked to join 'The View,'" Perez said. "Knowing that I'll be in the company of Whoopi, Rosie and Nicolle, three very smart and engaging women that I have an immense amount of respect for, makes it even more unbelievable. The opportunity to connect with our nation's audience on a daily basis... Icing on the cake! Very happy," she continued.

Wallace, on the other hand, is a famous political analyst/commentator who worked during the Bush administration as well as in John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign.

She also expressed her feelings on being chosen to be part of the hit TV show's cast.

"I am honored to join the tradition of compelling conversations that has been the signature of 'The View' for the better part of two decades," Wallace said, according to Deadline. "I have watched "The View" for many years and now to be seated alongside three women that I have admired is both humbling and incredibly exciting," she added.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Perez and Wallace will join Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell as the show moves to a new studio in its upcoming season. According to the same Deadline article, the cast overhaul is part of "The View's" makeover, which aside from a new studio, will also have a new logo and a new team in charge of the behind-the-scenes led by new executive producer, Bill Wollf.

"The View's" new season is slated to premiere on September 15.
