Today is the beginning of a new era.
Well, the beginning of a new TV season, at least. Which is kind of like an era.
As reported by Enstars, tonight marks the beginning of FX's Fall schedule, when "Sons of Anarchy" premieres tonight at 9 PM. FX's flagship motorcycle drama is beginning its final season, with the antihero Jax Teller (played by Charlie Hunnam) in jail. Tonight's premiere is enormous- nearly two hours long- but after tonight the season will continue with regular one hour episodes.
The other major FX premiere this season is "American Horror Story." Just a day ago, FX launched the first full length trailer for the fourth season of their hit anthology horror series (the trailer can be seen here at Venture Capital Post), showing off the many circus freaks of "Freak Show."
"American Horror Story" premieres Wednesday, October 8 at 10 PM.
While these are the only two series with a premiere date locked down, FX has a ton of other shows ready to unleash on a hungry audience (also, there's "The Strain" and "The Bridge," which are currently airing at this very moment).
The network has spy drama "The Americans," modern western "Justified," and a couple of comedies ready to premiere. The comedies include "Archer," "The Comedians" (starring Billy Crystal and Josh Gad) and their groundbreaking comedy "Louie," written, directed and starring Louis CK.
USA Today has a few other series that FX has recently greelit for a second season. They report that last year's hit, "Fargo" (based on the Coen Bros movie of the same name) is set to return as well. Their report also adds a few dates for other series- "Archer" and "Justified" will premiere in January.
There's a lot of TV to watch out there. We'd better get watching.
Check back soon for the latest on new FX series.
