While we've been waiting for details on "Terminator 5" (now titled, officially, "Terminator Genisys"), a big scoop has just come in, claiming some juicy plot details for the new film.
KpopStarz has the story, first repeating what we already know- that Arnold Schwarzenegger will star as the iconic time-traveling robot assassin in the 2015 film, and the actor's aging looks will be written into the film (robots may not age, but the human tissue that surrounds them still does).
But we didn't know until know is that there's a second Terminator in the film. According to KpopStarz, Aaron V Williamson, a fitness trainer/actor, has also been cast in the film as a younger model of the T-800- the same model played by Schwarznegger.
A little sleuthing proves their story accurate. Movieweb, a little while ago, posted concept art of a Terminator character that was based off of Williamson, which can be seen above. The only odd thing is that Williamson's concept art is clearly not using the same likeness as Schwarzenegger, implying that these are two separate robots and not past/future versions of the same one.
So we don't know yet is how these two Terminators will feature into the story.
Christian Today has some other story details, that Schwarzenegger's Terminator will time-travel back the the setting and time of the original film, but what that doesn't tell us is how this new second Terminator will be involved. Presumably, he'll be in opposition to Schwarznegger's character, as a hallmark of the series is Terminator-on-Terminator violence.
The second film featured Schwarzenegger vs. Robert Patrick's liquid metal T-1000 robot, and the third featured Kristanna Loken as the T-X, which had both liquid metal and a robot endoskeleton.
With Williamson playing a severely downgraded Terminator, the film's probably got some big twist in mind to make him a credible threat.
Check back soon as we uncover more story details for "Terminator: Genisys."
