‘Super Smash Bros. 4’ WiiU launch date leaked; Playable demo for Nintendo Platinum members released early

By

The highly-anticipated fourth installment of the famous party fighting game, "Super Smash Bros. 4", apparently has gotten its launched date leaked by a Twitter user. @GodDamnProtonMan posted this photo last Friday. In the photo, a game packaging clearly indicated that the game would be released on Novemberer 21 for Nintendo's WiiU console.

In related news, Nintendo also announced last Friday on its Nintendo Treehouse livestream that a playable demo of the 3DS version of "Super Smash Bros. 4" will be available for download for Club Nintendo members who have achieved Platinum status between July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014. Members would need to opt in to receive emails from Club Nintendo as well as have registered their Nintendo 3DS hardware and software in order to avail the promo.

For those who haven't achieved Platinum status, there will be a playable demo available later this week on September 19, the company said. It has been confirmed that the demo version will allow gamers to play with other people through the local wireless feature. This demo will be available on the North American eShop but unfortunately, it has been noted that it can only be played 30 times.

The anticipation and eagerness is almost palpable that there were massive speculations, rumors, and alleged leaks of the game. In August, there was a leak of the entire roster of the game which appears to be done by someone from the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) based on the gamer's user name, Kotaku reported. There were multiple videos uploaded on YouTube of the game being played, but has been taken down since then. Luckily, users from NeoGAF managed to take screenshots o the videos and posted them on the forums for all to see. According to the leaks, there were some missing characters from its predecessors, specifically Ice Climbers and Snake, Kotaku said. However, the 4chan user claimed that the characters would be coming soon in the future.
