In an October issue of Seventeen, YouTube sensation Bethany Mota talked about how 'bullying' helped her achieve success. She also revealed that there was a time she wasn't as original but she eventually decided to chart her own path, reported Enstarz.

The eighteen-year-old admitted that her life has never been easy growing up. There were challenges and sometimes things weighed her down. But she always loves it seeing girls happy and positive, so this inspired her to film her videos five years ago. "It was so cool seeing other girls being positive and spreading happiness," she said.
She started off with her Fashion.Beauty.Fun YouTube channel Macbarbie07. Here she talks about makeup, hair, fashion, and projects that she enjoys. She obviously won the hearts of many teens, and her 6 million followers prove just that.
She also realized that being true to oneself is a key to happiness, embracing one's imperfections and being cool about it. "At first, I made beauty videos that were like everyone else's- I'd try to act perfect. But then I realized it might be more fun if I was just myself. So I showed my silly side and kept in the bloopers. I liked those videos way more, and people appreciated that realness."
Moreover, she has come to value originality as she encourages other girls to do the same. "When I was going through YouTube and making videos, I didn't really have anyone to look at like, 'Okay, this is what I'm going to do.'" "It kind of just happened on my own," she added.
Each season, couples on 'Dancing with the Stars' come up with team names. Recently, Mota partnered up with five time Mirror Ball trophy winner Derek Hough and formed team 'MoTough.' Derek had no idea about Mota prior to meeting her. After some little stalking he has come to get some info about her and thinks that she's really amazing.
"I love what she stands for and what she's built - and that her fans call themselves the Motavators! It's pretty remarkable what she's done when you think about it," Derek said.
