'Survivor: San Juan del Sur' News: Jeff Probst reveals who among the castaways might not last in the competition; Host describes the group as 'diverse' and 'funnier' than past groups

The host of the CBS hit reality show spoke with Entertainment Weekly on location before the start of "Survivor: San Juan del Sur." Probst revealed his opinion on who among the characters does not have what it takes to be a survivor.

The first person he singled out is Jaclyn Schultz. "I think Jaclyn's in trouble," said Probst. "Only because I just don't think she's got the fire in the belly. I just don't see it," he explained. The host pointed out that the castaways have to have the fire in them to "outwit, outplay, outlast."

Probst also said Baylor Wilson, who is the youngest among the castaways this year, might not last in the competition. "Baylor is gonna have to latch onto an alliance," he noted. "She's still 20 and she's still naive and she doesn't realize it," he explained.

The long-time host of the reality show also mentioned that brothers Drew and Alec Christy might find it hard relating with the other castaways. Probst noted that while the two are among the younger players, showing "how cool they are" might annoy the older tribe members.

The hit reality show have been boasting a diverse cast, with the 18 castaways having a tie to another castaway. There are married couples, parent and child, sibling, and boyfriend or girlfriend.

"Survivor: San Juan del Sur" will be using its fan favorite "Blood vs. Water" theme that was first used in the fall last year.

In the show's recent "Meet the Cast" promo, the castaways were introduced, with Jeff Probst commenting on how diverse and funny the new season's contestants are.

"I think they're actually pretty diverse not only in color and background or in lifestyle but also just points of view," Probst said.

"They're funnier than groups we've had in the past," the host further commented.

"Survivor: San Juan del Sur" premiered with a 90-minute episode Wednesday night from 8-9:30 p.m. on CBS.
