We still have four years before the much awaited release of the "Amazing Spider-Man 3" film, but this early, a lot of rumors and speculations about the movie are already doing the rounds online.

One of the rumors that have been talked about by Spider-Man fans is the supposed return of Emma Stone. Despite her character's tragic death in the previous installment, Fashion & Style have several speculations on how Gwen will appear in next film, basing on several comic book plots.

According to the website, Gwen might return as a clone created by villain Jackal. The villain happened to be Gwen's professor who had fallen in love with her.

Another speculation by Fashion & Style states that Stone's character could possibly return in a flashback or dream sequence.

The website also mentioned the possibility of the actress taking the role of Spider-Woman. The alternate timeline of the "Spider-Verse" crossover sees Gwen being bitten by the radioactive spider instead of Peter.

The site, however, made clear that these are mere speculations. Mentioning that director Marc Webb already announced that the character is "gone for good."

Meanwhile, a recent report by KDramaStars gives a hint of possibility, saying, "The recently announced Amazing Spider-Man spin off, Venom Carnage Movie could have Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy return from the dead as the villain Carnage... as it was in the comic books."

In an interview with Screenrant back in May, Emma Stone talked about her character's supposed comeback in the Amazing Spider-Man movies. When asked about whether it's her last time working with the production, she answered "I don't know... is it? There could be a-I don't know, there's a whole plotline that could happen that may bring her back."

Unfortunately fans still have to wait for four years to find out whether Stone is really making a comeback.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 3" is scheduled for release in 2018.
