Controversial actor Michael Muhney finally spoke after being fired from "The Young and the Restless." The actor reportedly touched a female co-star on set of the CBS soap drama.
Soap Opera Network reported that Muhney spoke about the malicious allegations thrown at him. "First of all, there is no one anywhere, of any official capacity, who ever made any of those allegations. If there were, I would be the first person to come out and say, 'Hey, now, I've got to take you to court because what you've just said is lies and I have to sue you for libel and slander,'" said the actor.
The actor played the character Adam Newman in "The Young and the Restless" since 2009. It was reported that the actor was fired from the soap in December following rumors that he groped his female co-star, Hunter King. Other news claims that the actor was accused of bullying the other members of the cast, including Eric Braeden.
Muhney revealed that there was tension with the producers of the show for a while before he bid goodbye to the show.
"I remember sitting down in the final ten months of my tenure with the executive producer and saying: 'Things have to change. You guys are going to have to fire me or I'm going to have to quit.' I told them that several times," the actor said.
Last August, Muhney took to Twitter to officially announce his departure from the show. "Just got an official call, although things got very close, I will not be returning to Y&R. That part of my life is over. Moving on..." his post reads.
"I was hopeful for a return, but now I'm hopeful for the future. Now you'll just have to promise to tune in to my future projects! #lovexo."
According to Mail Online, there are rumors that Hunter King allegedly gave the show's producers "an ultimatum involving the police before they fired Michael" in connection to the allegations he groped King's breasts off camera in two separate occasions.
