World's renowned Formula One racer Michael Schumacher continues his process of rehabilitation after the accident he had last year while skiing in Combe de Saulire with 15-year old son Mick.
Schumacher is being supervised by a team of physical therapists, nurses, medical aids, and bunch of doctors. In addition, the approximate amount of the expenses for Michael's recovery is more than $162,000. This, however, is believed to be an advantage for his fast recovery.
On the recent reports, he is already capable of moving his eyes while his other body parts are kept paralyzed. Sabine Kehm, the 45-year old racer's manager, divulged that, "Considering the severe injuries he suffered, progress has been made in the past weeks and months. There is still, however, a long and difficult road ahead."
On early April, Schumacher regained his consciousness and was sent to Lausanne's University Hospital in Switzerland. The German racer, then, left the hospital and was decided to stay in their residence 25 miles away from Lausanne couple of months after.
Moreover, people who lives in Schumacher's residence are still silent on the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team member's progress. "We ask the privacy of Michael's family continue to be respected, and that speculation about his state of health is avoided," a strong statement from the family's spokesperson told the press, addressing the family's decision of keeping up their silence.
Meanwhile, son of Michael -- Mick -- hailed as the World Karting Vice-Champion on September 21. "Of course I am proud of such an important result," Mick proudly states on his astounding achievement, quoted by Telegraph. "But it is also clear that it is my goal to be world champion. This is only the beginning of my career."
It is safe to suggest that despite the dark hours of his father from the previous incident, the Schumachers have something to be delighted to. Stay tuned for more Michael Schumacher updates.
