It seems that there is a new TV show that everyone will be tuning into starting tonight at 10 pm on TV One and it is rightfully entitled "Hollywood Divas". A report from Madame Noire speculates that the show is a meant to help some of the actresses that have had too many career struggles and troubles in the past hoping to bring the spotlight back into their dimming star potential.
The list of actresses that are said to be featured in the show are Countess Vaughn, Elise Neal, Golden Brooks, Lisa Wu and Paula Jai Parker. And speaking of the "Hustle & Flow" star, it seems that Paula Jai Parker has come to terms with the constant battle of having to work her way up to the ladder of success as an actress.
According to Fashion & Style, the 45 year old actress was lucky enough to have had the opportunity to work back in the day when she was still young but as she grew older it seemed to be much harder for her to get projects that she could work on. She even mentions that at a time she feared that she and her children would have to stay on the streets -it was indeed a pleasant opportunity that she was offered "Hollywood Divas" and it is one that she quickly claimed knowing it would really help her family.
With tonight's premiere of the show, the network has set it to be just as successful as its run of the R&B stars and according to Enstarz, the network believes that this step will add onto the variety of shows that they offer.
The ladies of "Hollywood Divas" will be directed by Carlos King and Todd Tucker of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" and based on Elise Neal's interview with Enstars, she believes that the project is indeed one of a kind saying, ""Hollywood Divas" is basically the first time you'll see actresses, people who you know as entertainers, give you their real personalities and who they are behind the scenes."
