Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert's marriage is rumored to be falling apart. And the reason? Music. Apparently, both are competitive and are putting their careers in front of their marriage.
Unlike other couples who divorce because of cheating and other reasons, Examiner says that Shelton and Lambert's married life may end because of the career that they are both known for. With Shelton being busy on "The Voice" and Lambert having a new tour, there seems to be no time for the two to catch a break together.
It doesn't help that on interviews both parties talk more about other things than each other. "When it comes to interviews, there appears to be an unwillingness for Miranda Lambert to talk about Blake Shelton," notes Examiner, citing People as source. The site says that Lambert spoke more about her eating habits than her husband.
Meanwhile, Shelton talks more about his career. "Shelton has focused more on his music during interviews than his relationship with Miranda Lambert. He talks music, sings music and focuses on the music industry. Anything Blake says regarding the Miranda Lambert divorce rumors are usually are [sic] crass and less than a sentence long," adds Examiner.
Currently, Shelton's album "Bringing Back the Sunshine" is at the top of the charts after selling 101,000 albums in just one week. Meanwhile, Lambert is nominated for nine CMA Awards.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the couple has been the subject of divorce rumors for two years now, mentioning that Shelton is a "flirt and a hard drinker." The site also talks of Lambert stealing Shelton from his ex-wife, making her aware of his cheating problems. And apparently, Lambert wants to have a child with Shelton, but Shelton allegedly does not want to be a father yet.
OK! Magazine says that Shelton made it very public that he did not plan to have kids when he appeared as a guest on "The Ellen Degeneres Show" on September 8. It doesn't help Lambert that her friend Carrie Underwood is already preparing for her first child.
