Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher squash rumors of divorce by finally having a baby after taking a long time conceiving.
According to Classicalite, a source who spoke to OK! Magazine said that it took months for Underwood to finally conceive, and the "American Idol" apparently panicked when she couldn't get pregnant for a year. During the time that she could not get pregnant, rumors that they were going to divorce had propagated, but now that they finally have one on the way, the rumors should take a step back replaced by the plans of the two to have a big family.
Part of the reason the two were allegedly fighting was because Fisher already wanted to start a family, but Underwood wanted to pursue her career first, shares Fashion & Style. While that may or may not be true, the two seems happy with the baby they consider a miracle. Even while unborn, it will get its first taste of the spotlight at the 2014 Country Music Awards where Underwood will be co-hosting with Brad Paisley. According to the article, the producers want to put Underwood's baby bump front and center, with head writer David Wild supposedly capitalizing on Underwood's pregnancy for the entire program, adds The Tennessean.
However, Wild still clarified that the jokes, "no matter how strong or weak," will depend on how the co-hosts hold them together. It "will be a balance of how much we want to go there versus what she'll put up with," Wild added.
Underwood is excited for her first pregnancy, that sometimes she can't believe the news herself. Though it took her a while to get pregnant, according to ABC News, Underwood shared that her pregnancy is easy. The singer mentions feeling good and being lucky so far, though she did claim to have shopping anxiety over the overwhelming number of things to buy for her baby. Fashion & Style also has her saying that she will have her mother as a role model to look up to.
