After Seoul and Tokyo, "SMTOWN Live World Tour IV" ended successfully in Shanghai, China on October 18. Despite recent controversies involving the entertainment label giant, the event held at the Shanghai Indoor Stadium was attended by over 30,000 fans to watch some of SM Entertainment's leading roster of K-pop artists, Korea Bizwire reports.
Fans were able to see their favorite artists including TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO, BoA, Kangta, and Red Velvet. The idols performed about 60 songs, including hit Korean and Chinese songs.
They performed on stage with their respective groups while some numbers feature collaborations of the label's artists. Max Changmin (TVXQ) and Kyuhyun (Super Junior) performed a special collaboration with the song, "Ting Hai (Listen to the Sea)." Zhou Mi (Super Junior M) and Victoria (f(x)), meanwhile sang "Loving You."
Fans of first generation idols were also surprised and delighted to see Group S, composed of Shinhwa's Shin Hye-Sung, H.O.T's Kangta, and actor-singer Lee Ji Hoon, which has finally reunited after 11 years. The band performed with Kyuhyun and performed their latest track, "Without You." The track was from their mini album "Autumn Breeze."
On October 20, SMTOWN posted a photo on their official Twitter account. The photo shows Group S, along with some members of Super Junior and Girls' Generation. According to KpopStarz, the photo was taken after the concert.
A fan commented "It's been awhile since we've seen Group S."
Meanwhile, as expected, Luhan and Jessica were not present during the event. The former EXO member recently filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment, while Jessica was kicked out of the group three weeks ago.
"SMTOWN Live World Tour IV" is part of SM Entertainment's world concert tour that started on August 15 in Seoul. Last year, SMTOWN also visited California, Tokyo, Jakarta, and Singapore. Previously, they have also held concerts in New York, Paris, Tokyo, Beijing, and Bangkok.
This year's tour will end in Indonesia. The event will be held on December 27 at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
