K-pop idol group BEAST, who recently released their latest EP "Time," showed their concerns on their rival and friends MBLAQ. The members of the group recently spoke about what MBLAQ is currently facing, KpopStars reports.

In an interview with My Daily, the six-member group not only talked about the release of their seventh mini-album, but also shared their hopes for the future of MBLAQ. It was recently reported that members Lee Joon and Thunder decided not to renew their contracts with J.Tune Camp, leaving fans worried about the future of the group. The two reportedly chose not to renew their contracts to pursue their individual careers and are currently in negotiations with the agency.

"We've always been compared to them since our debut," said the BEAST members of their rival group. "But we're grateful to the group. We have always been compared [to one another] since early into our debut, so we've received a lot of help from them."

"We were surprised [to hear the news]," they said. "But this isn't a situation we have the right to speak about."

According to Soompi, despite being dubbed as rivals since the two groups both debuted on October 14, 2009, they became close peers. Over the years, the idol groups have experienced playful rivalry.

"We are close with the MBLAQ members, but because it's a sensitive issue, we can't ask to speak more on it."

"We hope everything is resolved well," they said on the interview.

On Lee Joon and Thunder's reported withdrawal from the group, J.Tune Camp has not confirmed anything. The agency previously stated they are still in discussion about the members' future plans.

Meanwhile, BEAST's release of EP "Time," has been successful so far, with the lead single, "12:30," ranking good in major real time music charts. The song recently secured the group an all-kill status, according to Koreaboo.
