Is BBC's "Sherlock" delayed, or isn't it?
Fans are apparently in an uproar, as Benedict Cumberbatch's schedule has allegedly caused the BBC to delay filming the next season of the hit Sherlock Holmes detective stories. But according to KpopStarz, that might not be the real reason for the delays. If there are even delays at all.
They're claiming that "Sherlock" has always been on a two year production schedule, and that waiting an extra year for "Sherlock" has been the norm since the series began. Which would mean, presumably, that all those fans are just getting bent out of shape over nothing.
KpopStarz adds that the series is set to premiere its fourth season around Christmas of 2015.
According to KDrama Stars, however, that's not quite right- they're claiming the season will premiere in January, and that the next season will not only have the three usual movie-length episodes, but also an extra Christmas special.
As for the story, we don't know much for now. And although the last episode ended with a big reveal from Moriarty (who we all thought was dead, right?) KpopStarz alleges that the villain totally is dead, and is not coming back any time soon.
They cite the fact that he was shot in the face, but let's think about this... Sherlock himself fell from a pretty high building and managed to survive. Couldn't Moriarty have done the same with a gun?
We'll find out in a little over a year.
Hallels, meanwhile, adds that one of the show's female characters may not be long for this world- but they don't know yet which character. Possible options might be Sherlock's landlady Mrs. Hudson, or Watson's new wife Mary as possible deaths next year.
