EA on "Sims 4" for Mac: "When we have more to share, we'll bring the news to you." What's included in November and December PC updates?

The Sims 4 has been released for PC in September, but the game is still being developed for Mac users, to be released along with the October and November updates. Initial reviews say the latest installment to the franchise was a "misstep."

Being the latest version of the game, "The Sims 4" was highly-anticipated. However, when it was finally released in PC, it received "nearly universal mediocre reviews," according to Inquisitr. The article says that "Sims 4" is a failure being compared to "SimCity 2013," which received its fair share of negative reviews.

With the Mac version allegedly underway, Rachel Franklin of EA has assured that the patches and updates coming to "Sims 4 PC" will be seen included in the Mac version of the game. As for when that will be released, Franklin has not specified a date, but only mentioned that they "are working on it." Franklin's statement in the The Sims says, "When we have more to share, we'll bring the news to you right here."

Meanwhile, PC users can enjoy their "Sims 4" games, which sport several changes from "Sims 3." Changes in the game are detailed by Press and Update to include smaller neighborhoods. "Sims 4" allegedly runs better than its predecessors, but there's the downside of having to wait for the screen to load if you wish to travel among the entertainment district, central park, business, and residential neighborhood. New skills have also been added to the game such as Programming, Mischief, Rocker Science, and Video Gaming. These are added alongside skills present in previous versions of the game such as Guitar, Gardening, Mixology, and Violin.

To be fair to the game, one of the improvements Press and Update has noted is that the Sims have "more human" personalities. "They all have emotions, dislikes and likes. Furthermore, the article notes, "The show of emotions is what has made the Sims more interesting and real."

However, "Sims 4" is far from prefect. Currently, the latest version does not have Ghosts and swimming pools, but Press and Update mentions swimming pools to be included in the November 2014 patch while Game N Guide confirms the Ghosts patch was added in the October update together with costumes and more choices for eye colors. The article also mentions the December update offering more career options and rewards.

While Franklin has spoken about "Sims 4" being made for Mac, it is still unclear whether it will come for PS4 and Xbox One.
