D.O, one of EXO's lead vocalists and now a movie actor, just released "Shout," a soundtrack for his movie "Cart."
The movie, which is scheduled to premiere on November 13, is D.O's debut in the big screen. However, this is not the first time fans will see the singer acting. He was also cast in the drama "It's Okay, It's Love," along with Jo In-sung and Gong Hyo-jin.
"Shout," ("Scream" in other English language reports) is also the idol's first OST. The song tells about how to never lose hope even during hard times. D.O's voice matched well with the emotions and melody of the song.
D.O, who is also known as Do Kyungsoo, was quoted by allkpop saying, "It's my debut in the movies, and it's even more meaningful that I was able to participate in the OST. "Shout" is a song that matches the movie well, and it'll be able to maximize the emotions and drama in "Cart" even more."
Previously, photos of the EXO member while working on the soundtrack at a recording studio were released through South Korean media.
Ttwigo reported that the song will be the film's ending song.
Previously, it was reported that fans of the idol and his group allegedly sneaked into the press conference of the movie pretending to be members of the press. According to reports, fans used fake media credentials to get inside the venue despite the heightened security.
The situation has caused delay of the press conference.
"Cart" tells the story of a mother (Yum Jung Ah) who will struggle as a supermarket employee, whose rights will be violated by the employer. Directed by Boo Ji Young, the movie was screened at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival earlier this year and the 19th Busan International Film Festival early last month. It will also premiere in the 34th Hawaii International Film Festival on November 6.
