Previous reports claim that YG's female idol group, 2NE1, will not be participating in any year-end award shows. However, a recent report claims that the "I Am The Best" singers will be attending an upcoming event, KpopStars reports.
Blackjacks, 2NE1's official fanbase, already know that CL is busy preparing for her solo debut in the U.S., while Park Bom needs a break for "reflection." Meanwhile, an article from Vogue came as a surprise as it claimed that the four ladies will be attending the Alexander Wang event in Shanghai, today, November 4.
"To celebrate the launch of the designer's collaboration in China, H&M is holding this mysterious party," said the translated statements according to YG Ladies.
"In addition, we have performances from one of Korea's hottest groups, 2NE1. Are you guys ready for the Alexander Wang X H&M event?"
The group's attendance in the November 4 event will have contradicted previous statements from YG, claiming that 2NE1 will abstain from additional activities for the rest of 2014.
"Though they've received a number of offers for music award ceremonies, we respectfully declined," YG representative was reportedly quoted, according to Allkpop.
"Park Bom is still reflecting, so we ask for your understanding."
"2NE1 cannot put on a show without Park Bom. However, besides that, Park Bom is not participating in any other domestic schedules. She is currently taking time to self-reflect. Please support them until they make their comeback. They will make a good album and come back as 2NE1," the YG rep added.
Park Bom has gone through allegations of smuggling prohibited drugs earlier this year, Hello Kpop reports. Bom allegedly tried to bring in 82 pills of amphetamine pills, which is illegal in South Korea even with a prescription.
Meanwhile, 2NE1's rapper and leader, CL is set to enter the American market as a solo artist. "I'm very happy about advancing into America and think I'm going to work a lot with Diplo," shared CL during the 2014 Style Icon Awards where she and the American DJ-producer performed. "Diplo is so cool and good-looking," she added.
CL's new venture will be handled famous talent manager Scooter Braun, who manages the careers of global superstar such as Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Carly Rae Jepsen, and Psy.
