Controversial MBLAQ member Lee Joon has finally spoke about allegations that he will be leaving the K-pop idol group.

The idol-actor attended the press conference of MBC's upcoming drama, "Mr. Baek" on November 3. In the event, which was also attended by other members of the cast, Lee Joon was asked about his contract expiration with his group's record label, J.Tune Camp, as well as about his alleged departure from MBLAQ, Daily Kpop News reports.

The idol responded confirming the upcoming expiration of his contract. "It's true that the expiration of my contract is coming near, but nothing has been decided yet as I'm still in the midst of negotiations with the company."

"I would like to let you know once everything is confirmed but I don't use SNS. When the time comes, it will be probably announced through the company or the media. Nothing has been decided yet at all," he added.

Allkpop noted that the idol's statement agrees to what was previously stated by his agency that no decisions have been made yet.

Back in October, there were reports that Lee Joon and fellow member Cheondung (Thunder) have decided not to renew their contracts and leave the group due to alleged goals of pursuing careers as solo artists.

After the news about Lee Joon broke, fellow member, G.O, took to Twitter to express his disappointment with the alleged decisions of the first. The idol tweeted about "selfishness." While the message was ambiguous and did not mention anyone, fans suspected he is referring to Lee Joon.

Despite the rumors, it was made clear that Lee Joon and Thunder will still participate in the upcoming concerts of the idol group titled "Curtain Call" on November 28.

Meanwhile, Lee Joon's drama "Mr. Baek" is a fantasy rom-com and will premiere on November 5. The drama also stars Shin Ha Gyun, Jang Nara, Park Ye Jin, Jung Seok Won, Enewsworld reports.
