As part of entertainment and sports news website Joy News 24's 10th anniversary surveyed 79 K-pop idols from October 16-26 to know who they think is the group who performed the best this years.
Results of the survey reveal that SM Entertainment's male megagroup EXO, who has been through a number of controversies this year, is chosen as the best group, allkpop results.
EXO received 23 votes on the idol-group ranking, followed by female group SISTAR in second place with 15 votes. B2ST is in third place with 8 votes, while Block B received 6 votes placing them in the 4th rank. VIXX came next with 5 votes, while Girls' Generation and MBLAQ are tied on 6th place after receiving 3 votes each.
Kpop Herald noted that the poll's result prove that EXO remains strong despite recent departure of two of its members this year. Kris, who was the leader of Chinese language sub-unit EXO-M left in May after filing a case against SM. Another Chinese member, Luhan, left last month, also with lawsuit filed against the record label.
Moreover, Joy News 24's survey also asked respondents who they think is the best among idols who turned into actors. ZE:A's Siwan received the most number of votes for the idol-turned -actor category, with 27 votes. MBLAQ's Lee Joon came in second place with 15 votes, while EXO's D.O came in 3rd place.
A-Pink's Eunji and f(x)'s Krystal were tied on fourth place, with 3 votes each. Meanwhile, BIA4's Baro, BtoB's Sungjae, Girls' Generation's Sooyoung, TVXQ's Yunho, Secret's Sunhwa, and Tiny G's Doghee, all received 2 votes each.
The idols were also asked which agency they would choose if they will be given the chance. Twenty-nine of them answered their current agency. Among those who did not choose their own agency, 14 voted for SM Entertainment and another 14 voted for YG Entertainment. Mystic89 came in fourth place with. JYP Entertainment, Starship Entertainment, and Cube Entertainment followed with 3 votes each. Three of the idols answered they would rather start their own label.
Soompi reported other results of the survey including the most desirable partners to film "We Got Married" together. The pair who got the most votes are Miss A's Suzy and actor-model Kim Young Kwang.
2PM's Taecyeon topped the best body male category with 10 votes, with Big Bang's Taeyang close in second place with 9 votes. For the females, 4Minute's Hyuna ranked first with 13 votes, followed by SISTAR's Bora with 11 votes.
Big Bang's G-Dragon, meanwhile, won the best fashionista category, receiving 36 votes. He was followed by f(x)'s Krystal and Block B's Zico with 7 and 6 votes, respectively.
The 79 idols who participated in the poll are from BTOB, BTS, Boyfriend, B2ST, TEEN TOP, VIXX, 4minute, SECRET, BESTie, Mad Town, UNIQ, B.I.G, MINX, The Boss, LABOUM, 5urprise, and A.KOR.
